Fans of Jefferson Airplane may be interested to know that Bo Diddley, one of the founding fathers of rock & roll and the popularizer of the world-famous "Bo Diddley beat", has announced that he will be launching his new website and online store this coming Thanksgiving. The website, which with typical idiosyncrasy he has named "Bo Bo Diddley's Turnup Root", is located at http://www.turnup-root.com/

In conjunction with his new website, Bo Diddley is currently also shaping up to release CDs of both brand new recordings as well as a series of exciting limited edition collectors' CDs of previously unreleased archive material recorded in his various home studios during the past 40 years. Right now, visitors to his website can shop online at Bo Diddley's Online Store powered by CafePress.com and purchase a range of cool-looking and exclusive limited edition items including T-shirts and sweatshirts.

For further information, please visit: "Bo Bo Diddley's Turnup Root" at http://www.turnup-root.com/

Following the 1968 election, several members of the Electoral College voted for George Wallace, though they were legally bound to vote for Richard Nixon. A political cartoonist drew a dilapidated tri-plane with "Electoral College" written on its side. The caption? "Jeffersonian Airplane." You know you've arrived when you make the editorial page!

My Love for the Jefferson Airplane is beyond indescribeable. Their music, their attitude, and their state of being just, makes me wet and then some. Before I get into my whole motherfucking continual about how much I love them and before I make this beyond inappropriate, I would just like to leave this on a high note and say that I love Jefferson Airplane, and Jefferson Airplane loves me.

Please help save the '69 Woodstock site!

The original '69 Woodstock site in Bethel, NY is about to be developed.

I hope that many of you will sign our petition, as there is only about a month to go until the town of Bethel NY decides to develop the original 38 acres. It's a wasteful shame that the geriatric republican billionaire who now owns the field also owns the surrounding 1300 acres, but feels he MUST build there!

Please visit the Woodstock Preservation Alliance website at http://thewoodstockspirit.org/ and sign our online petition.

You'll also find lots of info about our grass roots effort to save the site, and a real rockin' message board where you can voice your opinion (town officials monitor it daily).

DEAR,JEFFERSON AIRPLANEMy name is Jim Glazier, from 4308 42 AVE. #20 Rock MTN.. House Alberta, Canada . And I need the help of someone with great influence over people and the resources to convince people they can protect there property. I am not trying to get a hand out, but perhaps some kind of business venture where we both can make money. I have been interested in vehicle security since 1997. I get sick when I hear of peoples property stolen , damaged , and even lives lost from such a preventable problem as car theft. I have looked at many vehicle security devices and there weakness, and endeavored to build a device that is easy to install and also user friendly, and very difficult to remove. I have built prototypes, and have used one on my vehicle for three years even in big cities, and always felt comfortable that my car would always be there where I parked it. I also installed one on an old truck in an auto wreaker and it took three big men 4min. 56 seconds to remove it, only by braking the floorboard because of too ridged a base. This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. But it will only make a difference if people will use it. If I could give you more information that might convince you, perhaps you may be interested in being a part of this venture. .P lease, if you want more information or have questions please get in touch with me at my E-Mail address ( cadillacjim @msn.com) Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you . Did anybody think that picture up there was these guys when they're old? Well guess what, that was taken 13 years ago! Ah, but I'm sure they still look just great. And anyway, that music lives! It's still a great way to sit back and screw up on a Saturday Afternoon in a world where you have to be so anal and on top of it all the time. So go out on Saturday Morning, pick up some trash, then go home and crank up Jack's bass!
